Please join A WINDOW BETWEEN WORLDS for this FREE community event, with a special viewing of "THE MONSTER IN ME" exhibit created by women and children survivors. These artists, faced with fighting against abuse and domestic violence, take you from the dark side to the light and share their experiences of pride, sadness, pain and power.

A Window Between Worlds has been providing art as a healing tool for battered women and their children in crisis shelters throughtout the US since 1991. Please join them for an evening of food, meeting friends and becoming a member of the AWBW community to help make the healing happen.

Venice Perks: Hummingbird

One of the perks about living in Venice (and maybe all of LA?) is the presence of hummingbirds. I'm always on the lookout for them, a quick zig-zag in the air with the sound of their wings flapping like a high-pitched propellor. I was lucky enough to catch one in action. Take a good look in the first few seconds; he was, uhm… taking care of bathroom duties!
